170 billion FCFA for the construction of cold storage rooms

  • Objective: Reduce post-harvest losses (30 to 40% of onion and potato production), estimated at nearly 50 billion FCFA annually.

  • Investment: 170 billion FCFA as part of a public-private partnership (with no direct state funding).

  • Expected impact: Creation of 300 jobs, equipping 10 sites, with work scheduled to start before the end of 2025.

  • Operation powered by solar energy (50 MW, with surplus energy to be injected into the Senelec grid).
